My guess is Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
Cool blog!

I’m guessing a male Ruby-crowned Kinglet! I love this Tom – you’re making me really look at my bird books!
Is this what they look like close up or is it all fluffy for some reason?

First off-I didn’t even scroll down to the second photo-d-uh!
I’m not convinced its a RCKI-the eye ring doesn’t look complete, and I can’t see wingbars, on the other hand I don’t know what else has a crown like that. And you said we can see all markings needed….I’ll be back

Without giving any answers yet, I would be happy to also give a bird spoiler for anyone who might need one!

I think it’s a Ruby Crowned Kinglet.

I guess it isn’t a secret anymore that this is the head of a male Ruby Crowned Kinglet!! I think I was blowing on its head to get those red feathers visible! Thanks everyone for visiting!

Oh, I bombed this one. My first guess was going to be a female Cardinal, and my second was a Flicker. That’s really red, and the surrounding feathers are bluish and greenish.
This is still really fun! Thanks!

See what do I know-well I did know nothing else had a crown like that

It looked like just a bunch of feathers to me. On this one, I crashed and burned.
